Designer: Donna O’Shea Libman, ASID, CID

Designer Donna O’Shea Libman founder of Sunset West Interior Design has been a practicing Interior Designer for over 30 Years. Donna was with ASID as an Allied Member until she passed the NCIDQ Exam and became a Professional Member in 1998 until present. Donna is also CID since 1994.

Numerous awards and accolades have been bestowed on Sunset West Interior Design in the publishing field and holiday competitions for client’s boutiques and businesses. Raised and Educated in San Diego, California her studies took her from UCSD to UCLA and New York School of Interior Design. She is current in CEU’s in keeping her compliance with the above memberships. Qualified by years of experience and education Donna believes that keeping up to date with the changing “state-of-the-art” designs will help to find creative solutions to problems and bring full circle the process to create an environment that will stand the test of time.

From her earliest memories she only knew one thing; she was going to become an Interior Designer. Her passion in design extends to many forms of art including Landscaping. Her landscaping studies and experience give her an advantage on her exterior projects. Donna believes that landscapes transform “inside and outside” together as one.

After living and working internationally in Europe, Canada and throughout the United States, Donna, a Mother of two, settled in the Beverly Hills area in 1986 and successfully hung her Interior Design Shingle. Donna’s work is both in residential and commercial design. Residences, medical facilities, offices, fashion boutiques, “houses of worship” and spa’s. She views each project as a collaborative process between her firm and the client’s personalities and needs. The belief that “Comfort and Function” are as important as aesthetics.

Objective

To continue to produce beautiful, inspirational interiors that meets the expectations and standards for future and present clients. Planning, designing, executing floor plans and working with new and old furnishings are a challenge that Sunset West Interior Design relishes. Consultations with contractors, craftsmen, tradespeople and architects and owners have established terrific relationships and “sources” over her long term career. Dealing with high end Clients from all over the world has showed her how one gets projects, referrals and respect. Listening and communication, keeping records and a client’s “job-book”, and financial records, will help make past and future projects stay current and resourceful.
